“The best way to predict the future is to invent it” (Alan Kay)
The valorisation of scientific and technological research results, in a context of wide openness of the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) towards the socio-economic ecosystem, is the central mission of the Knowledge Transfer group (KT). The KT Area promotes FBK in its role as a hub for scientific research and innovation by establishing relationships with companies and public bodies to create new opportunities for application of its technological portfolio, its scientific results and its expertise. To this end, the KT Area supports the Foundation’s researchers in the process of transferring knowledge and technologies to companies and public bodies, thus promoting the technological innovation processes.
What do we do
We work in strict contact with the FBK’s researchers to identify the knowledge and technologies with the highest potential of exploitation by proposing the most suitable exploitation pathways (through patenting, copyright, etc.). We analyse the technological innovation needs of companies that come to us and offer technology and skills to meet their needs. We also stimulate the creation of collaborations with companies and public bodies to promote the exchange of knowledge from and to FBK, contributing on the one hand to increase the competitiveness of companies and on the other to provide researchers with opportunities to try out emerging and highly stimulating applications.
Innovations and technologies for companies and investors
